Have you ever had such amazing friends that can cheer you up no matter what?
This morning (1/17/23), I went to school. My dad dropped me off and I was getting pretty bored. I searched for my friends Emily and Cailyn. Cailyn had straight short black hair and glasses, and Emily had medium-long hair with a pink mask on her face. They usually hung out near our lockers. I searched over in that area, but they weren’t there. They normally leave that spot to go to their advisory’s around 8:20 and it was somewhere past that time. Emily would most likely be in her advisory class because she was never late to advisory, but not Cailyn.

As I walked over to my advisory I noticed Cailyn, hanging out with her other friends. I tapped on her shoulder. “Hi Cail!” I said. She turned around. “Hiya,” she said happily! She then proceeded to pull up some silly pictures of a smiley face she drew called Steve c:
Steve was a silly face who had a circular face, two round eyes and half of a circle for a mouth, drawn with text at the bottom saying silly things and making silly faces that looked like this: :D :) . I don’t recall what Steve was saying, but I do know that that was the best morning I had this semester and it has made my day ever since I got back to school from Covid. I was happy knowing my friends cared about our friendship, and that they were happy for me to be back.
One Saturday night I had a sleepover at my house with Cailyn and Emily. For a few hours, we talked and laughed and had fun, playing video games! At 10pm, my mom told us to go to sleep. It was as dark as the night sky, with or without the roof above us. We were about to go to bed, when Cailyn asked us, “hey guys? Wanna pull an all-nighter?” All 3 of us agreed.

As we stayed up, we kept quietly laughing. I felt as if I was about to burst into flames of happiness. At 1 am, Emily fell asleep and her arm was on the spot I was going to lay on when I went to sleep. She also snored loudly which made it funnier for Cailyn, while she laughed with tears falling down her eyes, like it was drizzling on a cloudy day. We overall had so much fun! We were acting like dogs out walking, and we all felt as bright and happy as the sun.
In my first story, I talked about how both my friends cheered me up on a not so great morning. A bond with friends is all it takes for someone to feel welcomed back and feel joy! I felt so happy just because of one little part of my day. Since it was a day with English and History, that was the highlight that day. Cailyn was an amazing friend and I am glad to have her in my life.
Another point is that in my second story, all of us (Emily, Cailyn, and I), we laughed and had so much fun in the middle of the night. This is because we did silly things to make each other have fun, even if my parents were asleep. This is important because it increases our bond, and makes a stronger connection of friendship together.
If you ever experience this too, know that your best friends that care about you will always try to cheer you up no matter what. You’ll be happy with some company around you that you know will forever be on your side.
